International, presented at the Ninth Annual Meeting 16

need for calendar reform. Published highlights

It is with real regret and sorrow
that the Association reports the loss of the loyal and active
Chairman of the Affiliate of Peru, Senor Don Luis Montero y Tirado,
who died this spring. He had led The World calendar movement in
Peru since 1934, and it was during that period, in 147, that Peru
initiated consideration of The World Calendar by the United Nations
by requesting the inclusion of a resolution on the agenda of the
Economic and social Council.
