1954 of The World Calendar Association,
International, held in the International Building, New York City.

Four
lectures on calendar reform were delivered at the National University
by the Vice-Rector, Dr; José H. Montalvan, as follows:
18 April: Need for a New Calendar; 16 September: Fundamentals
for the Adoption of a Revised Calendar; 22 October: Inconveniences
of the Present Calendar; 18 November: Progress Toward Adoption
of a More Stable Calendar. . . . Dr. Montalvan also formally delivered
to the government of Nicaragua a request that it instruct its
U.N. delegation to support the action of India at the ECOSOC meeting
in Geneva.
